My published research focuses on entrepreneurship, firm dynamics, and macroeconomics in both official and nontraditional (private sector) data.
I am the Chief of the Industrial Output Section and a Special Adviser to the Board at the Federal Reserve Board. Other past and present internal Board responsibilities have included serving as the Special Adviser to the Chair (March-May 2026); coordinating the staff GDP forecast; tracking the industrial sector especially motor vehicles, aircraft, and oil & gas; and working on various small/new business and nontraditional data projects.
I am also a member of the Conference on Research in Income and Wealth (CRIW) and a Special Sworn Status (SSS) researcher at the U.S. Census Bureau. I grew up in western Colorado.
