I presented an overview of business exit (death) measurement at the December 2021 meeting of the Federal Economic Statistics Advisory Committee (FESAC); see my slides here.
I am a Principal Economist at the Federal Reserve Board of Governors. My research focuses on entrepreneurship, firm dynamics, and macroeconomics in both official and non-traditional (private sector) data. I am also a member of the Conference on Research in Income and Wealth (CRIW) and a Special Sworn Status (SSS) researcher at the U.S. Census Bureau.
